Fredric Brown was an American science fiction, fantasy, and mystery fiction writer, who was well known for his use of humour and his mastery of the so-called “short-short” form of story-telling. That is, short stories of between one to three pages in length, often with ingenious plotting devices and surprise endings. Isaac Asimov was a Russian-born American writer and professor of biochemistry at Boston University. A prolific worker, Asimov wrote and edited more than 500 books over the course of his career and was considered one of the “Big Three” writers of science fiction, along with Robert A.
